When God’s Provision Looks Like a Janky Motel Room ((We Survived a Tornado))

TUNE IN: APPLE PODCASTS | STITCHER | SPOTIFY | AMAZON MUSIC

Have you ever gone through something in your life that seemed so crazy, so opposite of what you wanted at the time, but when you look back, you see that God’s hands were in it the whole time?

Sweet friends, that is exactly what happened during our family’s latest vacation and I couldn’t help but share with you – from the bathroom of our motel.

You read that right, sister! My husband had a work trip that ended up lining up perfectly with our kids’ spring break so we decided to make a family vacation out of it. But the first part of the trip didn’t exactly pan out as we had planned.

It started with blurry vision and not being able to find a hotel which led to my family and I huddled up with some strangers in a janky motel bathroom…during a tornado. Wild, right?

The whole chain of events that occurred was nothing short of crazy and unexpected. But every single that happened was what was supposed to happen, whether we wanted it to or not.

It was God’s provision.

Tune in to episode #63 of the Stepping Into a Joy Filled Life podcast as I share the whole story and my 5 takeaways from this wild experience:

  • Prayer is a powerful thing
  • Sometimes God says no because it’s for our own good
  • God’s provision sometimes looks different than what we expect or want
  • God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love, power and self-control
  • When God says it’s our time, it’s our time

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, worried, stressed out? A Powerful Prayer for Uncertain Times is a one-page printable that will help you pray through some impactful scriptures.
