TUNE IN: APPLE PODCASTS | STITCHER | SPOTIFY AMAZON MUSIC

JoEllyn Sumner is a 15 year K-4 music teaching veteran from the Chicagoland area, who has also been virtually teaching parents how to cultivate a Tuneful Home.  She has 2 B.A.’s in Vocal Performance and Music Education, as well as an M.A. in Educational Administration.  She has countless post-graduate credits specializing in prenatal, infant, and toddler music as well.  JoEllyn loves singing, dancing, and listening to all sorts of music from around the world — and wants to bring that passion to all the parents and families she meets!

In today’s episode, JoEllyn is walking us through how to create a more Tuneful Home to better connect with our kids! I don’t know about you, but I am always interested in finding new ways to connect with my kiddos and if it involves music, then sign me up!

There’s something about music that is so therapeutic and as JoEllyn describes, it has a natural way of bonding and uniting the family. From creating make-shift instruments to starting the day out with a song, she’s giving us all the tips on how we can start implementing music in our daily lives starting now!

Tune in to episode #43 of the Stepping Into a Joy Filled Life podcast as JoEllyn and I discuss:

  • How she became The Tuneful Teacher
  • Why music matters in a child’s life
  • Tips for connecting with your kids through music
