Healthy, Happy You with Julie Brown

Julie Brown has your “textbook down-home” Iowa girl background.  She has lived in southeast Iowa her entire life.  11 years ago she married the farmer next door. Together, they live in the farmhouse she grew up at, and they have three kids age 9, 6 and 3.  As a busy Mom balancing a career, family obligations and an obsessive need to volunteer it was easy for Julie to lose herself in a busy schedule.  

It wasn’t until she took the opportunity in January 2019 to learn about healthy nutrition, that she became able to adapt a simple healthy lifestyle which has allowed her to live her optimal life. (She has lost and maintained 65 pounds of weightloss.) She has become passionate about sharing this gift with others, so they too can know what it means to live their best life!

Julie says “Learning self-care and proper nutrition has changed my life and for the first time in years I finally feel as though I am living my life and not just surviving it. Coaching my clients so they too can live their best life has lit such a passion in my life. We have but one life to live here on earth.”


I first met Julie at a youth leadership camp back when we were just 16 years old! 

We stayed in touch throughout the years but we both grew to have busy lives, so we hadn’t really deeply connected in quite a while. 

I, myself was also a busy mom and I was at a point in my life where I thought a balanced diet meant one donut in each hand. Balance, right? I constantly thought to myself “I can always lose weight later.” 

One day Julie shared a picture on social media that really caught my attention. It was a side-by-side photo and I could see that she had lost a substantial amount of weight.

I reached out to her and she began to teach me the things I needed to learn that led to me losing 15 pounds in 90 days and maintaining a weight that I love.
