We recently walked through a situation in our family that required all of us sitting down for a family meeting and discussing at length how we were going to handle it.
Two of our three kiddos made the choice to disobey guidelines that my husband and I had laid out. As parents, we give our children rules to follow because we LOVE them and to PROTECT them, much like how God, the Good Father has laid out rules for his children to follow.
The incredible thing is that God had recently revealed to me His method of when, why and how to discipline children. It was the roadmap that my husband and I needed to navigate this recent situation with our kids in a wisdom-filled and loving way.
